Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Test Manager to lead our QA team in delivering high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing testing strategies across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This is a leadership role requiring both technical proficiency and team management capabilities.

 

Mandatory Skills

·       Proven experience managing QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments

·       Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and QA methodologies

·       Expertise in test planning, test strategy, and test execution management

·       Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps

·       Hands-on knowledge of both manual and automation testing

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead and manage the QA team across functional, integration, system, and regression testing

·       Develop and maintain detailed test strategies, plans, and documentation

·       Coordinate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to define quality objectives

·       Implement test automation strategies and frameworks (where applicable)

·       Monitor QA metrics (defect rates, test coverage, etc.) and drive improvements

·       Conduct regular reviews, mentor junior QA members, and ensure skill development

·       Manage test environments, test data, and risk-based testing approaches

·       Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices across projects

 

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

·       ISTQB / CSTE or other QA certifications (preferred)

 

Technical Skills

·       Test management tools: JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, Azure DevOps

·       Automation tools: Selenium, UFT, TestNG, or similar frameworks

·       Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages (Java, Python, VBScript)

·       Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps)

·       Familiarity with API testing (Postman, REST Assured)

 

Soft Skills

·       Strong communication and leadership skills

·       Critical thinking and decision-making abilities

·       Conflict resolution and stakeholder management

·       Ability to multitask and manage priorities

·       Team motivation and performance coaching

 

Good to Have

·       Experience in performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner)

·       Cloud platform testing exposure (AWS, Azure)

·       Knowledge of security testing basics

·       Experience with mobile app testing

 

·       Work Experience

·       7+ years of experience in QA/testing roles

·       Minimum 2–3 years in a team lead or test manager role
