Vastly experienced by age but young at his thoughts is the best way to describe Venkata Narayanan the Founder and CEO of BigTapp. With around 30 years of experience in his professional life in the field of management and consulting led the way to start BigTapp with a strong vision. Having spent the last 20 years in analytics, Venkat is a firm believer of using Insights based on data to drive decision making at all levels in the organization. This belief is the driver of the Insights to Action paradigm of BigTapp. Having observed frustrated business users who faced challenges using traditional analytics platforms to implement business strategies and achieve business goals, he envisioned BigTapp as a single platform to achieve the Insights->Foresights->Action->Business Value paradigm.

Venkat founded Business Intelligence & Analytics specialist Knowledge Dynamics in 1997, which was subsequently acquired by Satyam (Tech-Mahindra) in 2005. He held various management roles and was last Senior Vice President & Head of Strategic Initiatives in Tech Mahindra.

Venkat has broad experience in delivering Business Intelligence & Analytics solutions for strategic and tactical applications. Venkat has worked with both consulting and end-user organizations and has been responsible for IT solutions planning and delivery. For nearly two decades he focuses on providing Business Intelligence solutions to maximize the competitive advantage of organizations. His extensive has taken him to consulting assignments in the USA, Middle East, South Africa and Asia Pacific.

Venkat is a regular speaker in seminars and industry events in the region. He is an adjunct Faculty at Singapore Management University (SMU) teaching Masters in Analytics.

Venkat was responsible for envisioning and architecting iDecisions^TM, a series of packaged analytics solutions for various industries including Banks, Insurance and Telcos. Venkat authored the first release of a methodology for developing Business Intelligence solutions called On Target. He also contributed two chapters to the reference book titled "Advances in Banking Technology and Management: Impacts of ICT and CRM“.

Veera is a perfect mix of energy, passion and talent. His 25+ years of experience in the industry building several successful teams and billion dollar practices are few of his remarkable achievements. Veera is an inventor and futurist and has been the driving force behind many of the market making technologies in the Information Management space and among his creations are the world’s first on-demand Enterprise DW&BI Impact Analysis technology and Data Integration Code Health Improvement Engine. The evolution of BigTapp is because of his strong vision and desire to build a successful company. Veera's passion is anything that is bleeding-edge in technology, from state-of-the-art gadgets to the latest in cars. His strong belief in the power and ability of technology to transform life, has kept him clued to the latest shifts in this space. A perfectionist, he thrives not only in technology excellence but in other innovations as well.

Prior to BigTapp, Veera was with Cognizant as Managing Director and Global head of their Enterprise information Management (EIM) practice. Through his visionary leadership, Veera built and grew the EIM practice to a billion dollar practice and achieved a phenomenal growth (CAGR of ~70%) in the past 13 years.

Veera is known as a Transformational Leader and has turned around two practices in Cognizant. Veera's passion for excellence has helped him succeed in the role of Transformational Leader. Beyond his personal and professional aspirations, this passion has driven his career graph to what it is today. What provides him the adrenalin rush is the excitement of transforming businesses to achieve significant profitable growth, organizational and cultural change.

Veera devised Cognizant’s DW&BI process methodology framework and Award winning best practices - he championed the end-to-end lifecycle project that won the Best Practices Award 2000 from The Data Warehouse Institute [TDWI] in the analytical applications category. Veera powered Cognizant to be the first onsite-offshore company to get this prestigious TDWI award and since then has partnered clients to win many accolades such as Cognos, Informatica, Computerworld, DMReview, Teradata and CIO100 Awards.

Venkat Aravamudan (Venkat A), a seasoned IT Industry executive and an entrepreneur with over 30 years of rich experience, Venkat A, is BigTapp’s Director – Products and Partnerships. Prior to his association with BigTapp, he has had a successful career with leading Indian IT giants such as Wipro, Satyam/ Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies before founding his own venture, SmartMegh Solutions in 2012. SmartMegh is a cloud-based Digital organization that provides solutions to enterprises to effectively engage with their stakeholders, analyze and automate their systems and processes. From a single-man organization in 2012, he grew this to over 150 consultants across India, Singapore and Malaysia with over 100 customers in 15+ countries and 20+ domains.

His strengths are in the areas of incubation and building new entities, Delivery and Practice Management, Sales Management, Strategic Alliance Management, IT architecture and strategy, Marketing and Organizational Turnaround
