Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Architect with 8-10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Snowflake solutions to support our data infrastructure needs. 
• As a Snowflake Architect, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and efficient data architecture solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Snowflake data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines to meet business requirements.
• Architect and optimize Snowflake databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Snowflake's native features or third-party tools.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the Snowflake environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Snowflake architecture and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest Snowflake features, tools, and trends in the data warehousing space.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Snowflake data platform performance, data integrity, and data integration.
• Proficiency in complex SQL, Unix Shell/Python Scripting, performance tuning and database optimization techniques.
• Make necessary to modelling principles, processes, solutions, and best practices to ensure that the Snowflake is aligned with business needs of the environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience working with data warehousing technologies, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing Snowflake data warehouses, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with scripting languages like Python or Scala.
• Experience building and optimizing ETL pipelines using tools like Snowflake's native features, Informatica, or Talend.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with specific experience in deploying and managing Snowflake on one of these platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in designing and building manual or auto ingestion data pipeline using Snow pipe.
• Experience in re-clustering of the data in Snowflake with good understanding on Micro-Partitions.
• Experience in Migration processes to Snowflake from on-premises database environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
